The American Cancer Society's I Can Cope program is a series of educational classes for people facing cancer.  These free classes are designed for people with cancer and those close to them.  The classes provide information about cancer diagnosis and treatment and offer practical help in coping with some of the emotional issues resulting from a cancer diagnosis

The March 15th topic is Financial Matters and Community Resources. 

Please plan to attend Laughlin Memorial Hospital's Stroke Support Group.  The purpose of this meeting is to establish a network to provide education and support, as well as experiences involving the challenges facing stroke survivors and their families.

Laughlin Memorial Hospital and Laughlin Health Care Foundation are pleased to announce that Cancer and End-of-Life Care, Hospice Foundation of America's 17th Annual Living with Grief teleconference, will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, 1:30p.m.- 4:00p.m. in Laughlin Memorial Hospital's Fifth Floor Classrooms.  The program will address care options related to cancer diagnoses as well as loss and grief reactions of patients, families, and professional caregivers.  The teleconference will also examine psychosocial aspects of cancer, pain management, and ethical issues related to the disease.  Attendees applying for three credit hours of education credit are required to participate in a 30-minute, local discussion following the program and pay a $25.00 online fee for the continuing education credits.  The Webcast, itself, is free, and local registration is necessary.
